The purpose of the conference:

  • • To enhance the reading culture of young people in the age of information technology through the dissemination of advanced teaching methods and tools;
  • • To facilitate the effective exchange of experiences on the problems of the formation of electronic information resources, creation of information and library systems and it effects using in information and library institutions, educational institutions, archives, museums.
  • • To assist the creation of associations/consortia for sharing information and library (especially electronic) resources, organization of training centers for training in new information technologies in information and library science.
  • • To activate library and educational institutions in the direction of using the Internet capabilities, electronic databases more actively for opening access to information resources and the formation of their content.

Conference participants: International experts; directors, heads, and specialists of libraries of information resource and information library centers, archives, museums; scientists and teachers of educational institutions, IT specialists, representatives of ministries and departments.
